Football

At Victoria College Football has the highest level of participation. There are a minimum of two teams in years 7-9. We then have two combined year 10 and 11 teams called the U16 A and B. These teams play all other secondary schools in the Island as well as a biannual game against Elizabeth College, Guernsey.

Fixtures for these teams are most likely to be played on College Field within the school grounds.

From Year 11 students are eligible to play for the prestigious 1st XI Football team encompassing the best players from years 11-13.  The 1st XI team plays in the Schools Channel Island League playing home and away fixtures at all post 16 schools in the Channels Islands. The 1st XI have been very successful in recent times winning the League 4 times in the last 5 years.

The 1st XI also go on an annual tour to London. While in the mainland they play against some of the top independent schools in the country. Normally the tour consists of a game against Charterhouse, Eton and more recently, St Albans.

In recent years the touring 1st XI has also participated in a training session at Tottenham Hotspurs' Enfield training centre followed by spectating a London Premiership game the next day.

To further increase participation within the  school we also have internal fixtures offering a hotly contested House Football competition for years 7-10 and Seniors (11-13).

Congratulations to the 1stXI Football Team who have retained the Channel Island League trophy for the 3rd year running.
