This programme is managed and monitored overall by the Assistant Head Post-16.  Community Service placements are established by the Sixth Form & Careers Administrator, who works with the Assistant Director of Sixth Form in order to monitor and evaluate the students' attendance and experience.

Lower Sixth
All students will follow an Enrichment Programme during one period a week.  This will include short courses on:                                  
  • Study Skills and revision techniques
  • Local Government - preparing to vote
  • First Aid
  • Health Education
  • Transition skills - Income Tax, Social 
    Security, managing money, surviving on a
    budget etc
  • Current Affairs
  • Self-defence
  • Problems in Logic

All students will have a period a week devoted to Careers Education and Guidance and which will include preparation for University application and for entry to the world of work.

Upper Sixth
All students will be expected to attend at least two periods of the Enrichment Programme each week, of which at least one will lead to a qualification:

  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) - one period a week
  • Community Sports Leadership Award (CSLA) - one period a week
  • Critical Thinking AS Level - two periods a week
  • LAMDA Award in Public Speaking - one period a week
  • Certificate in Financial Studies - two periods a week
  • Craft skills - one period a week
  • AS Level Photography (for those who have at least GCSE Art) - one period a week
  • An extended course in conversational Italian and an introduction to Italian culture - 1 period a week
  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification - one period a week
  • Mandarin
