School Counsellor

In school, we spend a tremendous amount of time learning, understanding and appreciating a vast range of subjects. Counselling isn't so different from these subjects, the intentions are the same, only in this subject, the individual brings the material to explore and understand further; in this subject, the individual is the expert, because the subject matter is their experience of life. Through counselling, through being heard, through exploration of thought and feeling, we have a chance to learn, to understand, and to appreciate ourselves as in depth as any other subject taught in school.

Providing the highest quality of care, support and work is at the upmost importance to myself and all staff at Victoria College. Our shared aim is to provide bespoke support to any individual that seeks it. We all strive to remove stigma towards mental health and make way for greater understanding, positivity and growth for the pupils, parents, staff and wider community associated with the College.

All information shared during a counselling session is strictly confidential. Working in line with the schools safeguarding policy and the BACP's code of ethics, confidentiality will only be broken if intent to harm self or others is disclosed.

I'm currently in school Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 08:30 till 15:30. Sessions can be requested directly through me by email  or alternatively via referral through the study center on the basis of staff or parental concern.
