A level results 2018

Victoria College students have again achieved excellent A-level results this year, with 15.4% of passes at the top grade of A* and a further 24% at A grade, one of the strongest results in recent years.

The results being collected today (Thursday) mean that most of the students who want to go to university have secured a place at their first choice.

Headmaster Alun Watkins said: 'These tremendous results are the culmination of a great deal of hard work and I am delighted for our boys. I would like to congratulate them and thank their parents and, of course, our dedicated teachers for their support and guidance over the past two years.'

This year's A-level results at Victoria College match the outstanding success of 2017, when students achieved the best results for six years. A total of 86% of exams taken in 2018 are at grades A* to C and 40% are A* or A.

Mr Watkins added: 'I hope our students feel proud of what they have achieved. These A-levels will open doors to university or employment and enable them to build successful futures.'
