The College commonly uses ParentMail to communicate with all parents /carers with information concerning school events and important notices.

If you are having problems with your ParentMail account please feel to contact us, however below are answers to the most common questions parents ask us:

I have forgotten my password, how do I reset it?

If you have forgotten your password, please select the 'Forgot my Password' option and enter your email address. This will send an email directly to you which will enable you to reset your password.

How do I change my email address?

To change your email address, login into ParentMail and select your name from the top right hand corner and select 'Personal Details'. Here, you can remove the email address that you currently have registered and add your new email address. Select 'Save' to make the change.

When I login to ParentMail, nothing loads?

It is likely that your browser is stopping the page from loading. In this instance we would recommend you try using another browser, we recommend Google Chrome.

It is also worth checking that you don't have private browsing switched on, or have cookies stopping you from viewing the page - to find out how to remove these click here.

I am not receiving notifications but I can see messages on my ParentMail feed?

This could be down to the security on your email inbox and it may be that emails from ParentMail are being blocked. Please log in to your email account and check Junk/Spam and if the problem persists please contact your email provider.

In addition please add this email address '[email protected]' to your contact favourites or approved sender list.

I am trying to login but it keeps showing a 'Rate Limited Error Message', what does this mean?

This error message comes up when the login button is clicked multiple times within the a short period. Try again but only click on the Login once. If the internet connection is slow on your mobile phone, press the button once and let it load up - please do not click on the button again.

Im not receiving attachments with Parentmail when using my iPad or similar.

Due to a higher level of security, Parentmail X requires users of tablet devices (iPads, Android devices etc) to download the free app from the AppStore (iPad) or GooglePlay (Android) once this app is installed it is used to access emails from us.

Why I am unable to download the ParentMail App?

In order to download the PMX App you will need iOS 7.0 or higher.

  • iOS 7 is only available on 4s onwards. (4s, 5, 5s, 5c, 6 & 6+) not compatible with (3G, 3GS)
  • iPad - second generation onwards. Including mini will work.
  • iPod touch - fifth generation onwards will work.
  • iPhone 4 can have iOS 7 however it will be incredibly slow.

I am trying to connect with my school but receive an error message when I input my child's date of birth?

You will need to contact your school directly and ask them to make sure the date of birth they have for your child is correct. Once your school has updated this, you should be able to connect and begin receiving messages.

I have just registered to ParentMail but now I am unable to login?

Please ensure that you are going to the correct website address: https://pmx.parentmail.co.uk/.

When I download the APP why does it ask to have access to my 'Photos/Media/Files'?

You will only see this message if you are using an Android phone. We require access to this part of your phone purely for the storage of any attachments that you download.

Why do I need to have two accounts for two schools?

It is likely that your children's school are using two different ParentMail systems. The ParentMail company are currently in the process of moving all our schools over to the latest system. Once this is done the ParentMail company will be able to link the accounts together.

I have registered my account, but now I can't get past a screen which says "you have no connections"?

After registering, you should be able to connect to us and begin receiving messages. If you are taken to a page which says "no connections" please contact our Support team with your email address and we will look into this for you.
