When the boys enter VCP they are assigned to one of five Houses - family tradition is taken into consideration when this decision is made. The Houses, named after prestigious Old Victorians, are as follows:
The House system continues at Victoria College and boys generally remain in the same House until they leave.
At VCP boys quickly become loyal to their House and work hard to earn points to ensure that their House is awarded the Hopewell Cup at the end of the school year. House Points are earned through academic endeavours, for exhibiting thoughtfulness towards others, for good manners and for inter-house competitions including, sport, poetry and music. The boys meet in their House groups once a month.
