The launch of 'ArtEquals' 2023

Students at Victoria College across all years are being given the unique opportunity in Jersey to exhibit their artwork alongside professional artists and have their work made available for sale.

We have an exciting, new initiative planned at college, which has been launched in January 2023.

Students at Victoria College across all years are being given the unique opportunity in Jersey to exhibit their artwork alongside professional artists and have their work made available for sale.

The ArtEquals programme aims to promote mental wellbeing, encouraging students to take a break from screens and to immerse themselves in creativity.

The art submitted will be judged by a panel and some art will then be selected for exhibition, where it will be displayed next to works by professional Jersey artists – giving them equal standing. All the art on display will be available to purchase and students will be able to keep up to 50% of sale proceeds with the remainder contributing towards the construction of the Victoria College Wellbeing Garden.

To date we have secured the support of Ian RollsAbi OverlandLouise RamsayRian Hotton and PJ Thompson, as well as Private & Public Gallery

The exhibition and auction will take place in the Great Hall at Victoria College on Friday 30th June. Free tickets are available to purchase here.

Parents, staff and Old Victorians are also invited to donate a piece of art.

For all queries, including donating art, sponsorship and the exhibition, please contact Emily Sweeny e.sweeny@vcj.sch.je.
