Uniform

Every student at Victoria College wears full uniform. In Years 7-10 the uniform is distinctive with its gold braided blazer. In Year 11 and the Sixth Form, boys are expected to present a business image in line with our standing in the community and plain dark grey or black suits are the norm.

Co-operation and firm guidance from parents is essential to ensure that students attend College correctly dressed. Jewellery must not be worn with the exception of a watch. Boys are encouraged to take a pride in their appearance and extreme hairstyles are forbidden. In order to maintain the highest standards of appearance, any problems concerning uniform should be raised promptly with the Head Master, or a boy’s Director of Study.

There will be occasions when clothing and equipment of a more specialised kind are required, eg. Physical Education or Technology. For lessons in the science specialisms, boys must have a white laboratory coat. All items of College wear are available from our uniform stockist, ‘Redvers’ of St.Helier.

Parents are urged to place their child’s name clearly inside ALL items of clothing. Lost property which cannot be returned due to a lack of identity labels is a major problem. A clear indication of a student’s name in each article ensures a prompt return.
