The College ICT Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) applies to all College students and Staff offeredaccess to College resources, another school’s resources or any other ICT resourceswhilst enrolled or employed at the College.

Alcohol policy

No person either on or immediately before official Victoria College business whenstudents are involved shall be permitted to drink alcohol except as defined in this policy.

Anti bullying policy

We seek to create a culture at Victoria College, in which bullying is not accepted by any
member of the College community. As an organisation which is serious about child
protection, we will also be serious about preventing and tackling bullying, as it can threaten
both the mental health and educational progress of students. We wish to provide a safe
environment, free from physical threats, verbal taunts and any form of harassment. Our aim
is to promote positive relationships and to develop a culture in which individuals are listened
to and their concerns taken seriously.

Complaints policy

Victoria College has long prided itself on the quality of the teaching and pastoral care
provided to its pupils. However, if parents do have a complaint, they can expect it to be
treated by the College in accordance with this procedure.

Drugs policy

Drugs education forms an integral part of the PSE programme offered to each boy at Victoria College, overseen by the Head of RE/PSE. It is also addressed through relevant aspects of the Science curriculum and is a whole school issue involving all staff thereby ensuring a coherent approach.

Plagiarism policy

Publishers and Software companies produce the internet resources, books, magazines,
software, videos and DVDs that we use in our classroom delivery. When we use or buy such
an item, it doesn’t become our property; we actually buy the licence to use it. If we make
copies and give or sell them to others, we are, in effect, guilty of theft (a criminal offence) and
those to whom we give the goods are guilty of receiving stolen property.
