Diarmid
We were founded to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Victoria College in 2002. We were named in honour of OV Allastair Malcolm Cluny Mc Ready –Diarmid, OV, born 21.3.1888 who died leading his troops in the Battle of Cambrai in November 1917. (My own Grandfather, a Doctor, was there too.)
Since our foundation we have won the Knight Shield, House Drama and House Art. We have superb musicians and sportsmen and have performed admirably in House Music and on the sports field but so far the final accolades have eluded us. Not for long! The purple flag has flown this month in recognition of our academic success last year. We are a force to be reckoned with and ‘Starmos Unito- united we stand. Diarmid will win all future competitions. Promise!
