Peer Mentor Training 2017

On Wednesday , 35 boys from Year 11 took part in a full days training to become  Peer Mentors and Anti Bullying Ambassadors in 2017/18. The training was orchestrated by Mrs Watkins (ENCO), Miss Bryan (Head of Wellbeing) and Mr Donoghue (School Counsellor). During the day boys came to understand: the role of a Peer mentor, the impact of mental health and how it impacted learning in the classroom and how to get to know their mentee and what to do if this person needed additional support.  Two of the current Peer mentors, Nathan and Harry joined us and delivered an excellent session on how to conduct a peer mentoring meeting.
