Founders Week 2017

The College enjoyed yet another fantastic Founders' Week. On Monday the boys donned their House Colours for 'Dress down Monday'. On Tuesday the Army were victorious in the Cannon Race and Diarmid brought home the baton first in the Knight Shield Relay. On Wednesday, the Tug of War brought with it courage, loyalty and plenty of testosterone! Well done to Sartorius who ended up winners.

Founders week 2017 2

On Thursday the boys enjoyed the House Stalls, the highlights being: 'throwing the wet sponge at Mr Smith (Housemaster of Braithwaite) and 'arm-wrestling' with Mr Cox (Housemaster of Diarmid). The Founders' Ceremony took place on Thursday evening. This year we paid tribute to Old Victorian, Captain McReady-Diarmid VC who fell in the Great War 100 years ago. The drama and music displayed during the evening was truly magnificent.

The week culminated in Founders' Walk from the Waterfront to Le Braye and back. Although conditions were extremely wet, the boys were in high spirits and the vast majority completed the 18 mile route.
